PLANT CONSERVATION
Conservation of bio-diversity in both Turkey and throughout the world is becoming more and more important - and more urgent. The increasing population and the loss of plant habitats due to ever increasing urban development activity world wide renders conservation efforts a high priority. In the face of these serious threats and as a major part of its Mission, since its foundation, NGBB has been actively engaged in conservation efforts of plant diversity and the environment.
NGBB Library
The NGBB Library is located in the Central Island which not only provides the staff with an important reference resources in both Turkish and English, but also tries to meet the demands of visitors from outside the Garden. The Library is open to the public, however the books can only be used in the Library and cannot be removed from the building. Visitors are welcome to come and work on their research projects in the Library where a list of books can be found.
