The Botanic Garden is open every day throughout the year including religious and national holidays, but the management reserves the right to close the Garden if required for any reason. The Garden is open from 9:30 everyday and closes between 16:30 or 17:00 from November to February and at 18:30 or 19:30 during May and September. Closing time for other months is half an hour before sunset.

Visitors bringing children

Some useful information for parents planning to visit the Garden with their children.Parents are reminded they are resposible for the safety of their children at all times. They should supervise their children at all times, particularly around the water features and in the Discovery Garden. NGBB cannot be held responsible for their safety. Parents must not allow their children to damage tor pick the flowers, run over the flowerbeds or chase the ducks or geese. 

  • Throughout the Garden there are special information labels designed to attract the attention of children. Parents can encourage their children to look for the labels, to learn about the plants they can see and what they are used for.
  • 3 to 9 year-olds can play games in the Discovery Garden on the Picnic Island and learn about plants as they play.
  • Parents can bring drawing materials for their children to make pictures of what they have seen during their visit to the Garden.

Parking

Parking is free of charge but is limited. You will be advised by personnel staff at the main entrance on parking availability, but when the car parks are full, admission will be refused. Please do not insist on entering the Garden when the car park areas are full.

Admission to the Garden is free. The Nezahat Gökyiğit Botanic Garden is funded by the Ali Nihat Gökyiğit Foundation, a charitable organisation concerned with the conservation of plants.
